Obituary
LYDA STRINGER PARMLEY was born June 27, 1925 and departed this life February 6, 2005 reaching the age of 79 years. She was the daughter of Ephraim Stringer and Jalie Mae Lair Stringer.
She was united in marriage to Oliver Parmley and to this union ten children were born.
She is survived by five sons, Larry, Jerry, Dale, Mark and Rook Parmley all of Monticello; three daughters, Charlotte Crouch, Janet Bates, and Niokie Parmley all of Monticello; one sister, Clara Bell of Monticello; 13 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Parmley; her parents Ephraim and Jalie Stringer; two sons, Rex and Eric Parmley; two brothers, Marshall and Luther Stringer; one sister, Pauline Chriswell; and one great grandchild.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation: Tuesday, Feb. 8 after 5 pm and Wednesday, Feb 9 after 8 am
Funeral Service: Wednesday, February 9 at 1 pm
Interment: Parnell Methodist Church Cemetery
