Luther Eldon Criswell was born April 20, 1943 and departed this life on Friday morning, August 13, 2021 reaching the age of 78 years. He was the son of the late Robert Austin and Willis (Tuggle) Criswell.

He married Betty Jean Hammond and to this union three children were born.

He is survived by: 2 children, Mark (Melissa) Criswell and Anna (Brad) Bensman; and four grandchildren, Austin Dakota Criswell, Carrie Mae Criswell, Hunter Michael Bensman, and Taylor Ann Bensman; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He is preceded in death by:  his parents, Robert Austin and Willis Criswell and one son, James Eldon Criswell.

He was a loving father, grandfather, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 16 ^th , 2021,  from 5-8pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 17 ^th , 2021 at 11am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Mike Huckaby officating. Burial will be in the Criswell Family Cemetery.
