Luda Mae Lowe was born February 28, 1943 and departed this life Tuesday, February 9, 2016 reaching the age of 72 years. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Willie "Grace" (Hicks) Brown.

She married Cecil Lowe and to this union seven children were born.

She is survived by: her husband, Cecil Lowe; four sons, Billy (Flonnie) Lowe, Tommy (Regina, deceased) Lowe, Paul (Lisa) Lowe, Steve (Kim) Lowe; three daughters, Betty (Sterlie) Dishman, Wanda (Jerry) Smith, and Tammy (Rodney) McGinnis; 15 grandchildren, Curtis, Alisha, Lola, Cody, Bradley, Brandon, Katie, Rodney, Hillary, Amber, Elijah, Dustin, Jessica, Kimberly, and Tyler; and 11 great grandchildren, Hannah, Bailey, Emma, Hailee, Jasmine, Gabriel, Olivia, Isabella, Jarius, Eli, and Hunter. She is also survived by: five brothers, Gerald, Jerry, Roy, Hallice, and Ricky Brown; and three sisters, Ruby Cooper, Beulah Stinson, and Beatrice Allene Jenkins; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Thomas and Grace Brown, she was preceded in death by: one son, Jeremy Lee Lowe; one brother, Fleeman Brown; and one sister, Margie Neal.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 11, 2016 after 5pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 12, 2016 at 1pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Pyles Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
