Lucille Smith was born March 8, 1936 and departed this life Friday, September 11, 2020 reaching the age of 84 years. She was the daughter of the late William "Bill" and Hattie (Hoover) Edwards.

She is survived by: one son, Jerry Smith; one sister, Joyce Ellis; three grandchildren, Kim Stinson, Jessica Piercy, and Dustin Smith; and five great grandchildren, Hannah Griggs, Henley Stinson, Bailey Piercy, Emma Piercy, and Noah Piercy; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Bill and Hattie Edwards, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Clifford Smith; four brothers, Ed Edwards, Wallace Edwards, Fred Edwards, and J. B. Edwards; and three sisters, Verlie Asberry, Betty Jean Smith and Della Wilma Morgan.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 14, 2020 between 5 pm - 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
