Lucille Chesney was born August 13, 1925 and departed this life December 21, 2014 reaching the age of 89 years. She was the daughter of the late Major "Harrison" and Annie (Catron) Sidwell.

She married Jess Chesney and to this union three children were born.

She is survived by one son- Ray Barton (Betty) Chesney of Monticello, KY, two daughters- Cheryl Lee (Robert Jr.) Chambless of Munfordville, KY and Mary Allison (John Jr.) Smith of Hopkinsville, KY, four grandchildren- Vachel Lyn and Ray Barton Chesney, Jr., Jessica Smith Gaines and John F. (Jay) Smith, III, seven great grandchildren- Kacee, Alora, and Gabriel Chesney, Carson, Ryan, and Tyler Gaines, and Cooper Smith. She is also survived by three sisters- Mary Eva Swope, Martha Jean Smith, and Myra Ann Santo. one sister-in-law- Mary Taylor; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jess Chesney, and two brothers- Major Sidwell and Mentis Sidwell

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, relative, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Visitation: Friday, December 26, 2014 after 4 pm, Funeral Services Saturday, December 27, 2014 10:00 am Interment: Elk Spring Cemetery.
