Loyd Martin was born June 18, 1932, and departed this life Friday, February 21, 2025, reaching the age of 92 years. He was the son of George Alvis and Florence Lilly (Denney) Martin.

He married Edna Tucker on September 6, 1958; and to this union four children were born.

He is survived by: one son, Johnny Martin; three daughters, Leca Martin, Glenda Kay Martin, and Fredda Doss (Alan); and one grandchild, Mackenzie Storm Doss; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, George and Florence Martin, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Edna (Tucker) Martin; four brothers, Logan, Charlie, Luid, and Melvin Martin; and three sisters, Martha, Leatrice, and Mary Martin.

Loyd was a loving father, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home. Immediately following, Graveside services will be held at Precious Memories Martin Family Cemetery.
