Lossie Flynn Rhea Tucker, 91, died in her sleep at Altercare Nursing Home, Bucyrus, Ohio, on November 18, 2020. She was born June 8, 1929 in Wayne County, Kentucky to her parents, Green and Lelia (Clark) Flynn.
Lossie grew up and stayed in Wayne County til 16 to 20 years of age. She went to Ohio in the middle 40's where she worked in restaurants and small factories. She met and married Victor Rhea; they had 5 children, Allen (Marlean Miller) Rhea (Fredericktown), Jim Rhea (Bellville), Judy Rhea Jackson (Deceased), Michael Rhea (Lexington), Douglas Rhea (Texas).
Lossie went back to Kentucky to take care of her mom in the late 1960's to 1970's. She worked at numerous jobs during her life, but she really liked making quilts during different times of the year. Later on in life she married Fordie Tucker (1982).
She is survived by children, Allen (Marlean Miller) Rhea (Fredericktown), Jim Rhea (Bellville), Michael Rhea (Lexington), Douglas Rhea (Texas); and a brother, Freeman & Wilma Flynn, 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Green and Lelia Clark Flynn; daughter, Judith Ann Jackson; 2 sisters, Lurie Flynn Taylor and Georgia Flynn Hoeflich; 5 brothers, Herbert Lonnie Flynn, Herstel & Dorothy Flynn, Earnie Flynn, Odas & Helen Flynn, Lemon & Kelly Flynn; and two husbands, Victor Rhea and Fordie Tucker.
The Rhea family would like to thank all who had a part in our mom's funeral, Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home, and special thanks to Altercare Nursing Home of Bucyrus, Ohio for the care of our mom the last few years.
PRIVATE funeral services will be held Saturday, November 28, 2020 at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Clay Hill Cemetery.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation and upon recommendations from the Governor's Office for Funeral Homes, there will be some restrictions for service attendance. As the number of attendees is limited to 25 people only, a list will be provided to the funeral home by the family. You are asked to please wear a mask or facial covering and observe the social distancing guidelines. No communal food or drinks are allowed at this time.
