Iva Lorraine Meece was born August 26, 1932 and departed this life Saturday, June 16, 2018 reaching the age of 85 years. She was the daughter of the late James Denton Jones and Effie Casada Barnett.

She is survived by: one son, Michael Meece; one daughter, Connie Hay; two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Ed Meece; two brothers, Forrest Jones and Clyde Jones; and three sisters, Nina Hall, Pearl Yahnig, and Lois Davis.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 11am until 1 pm in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will also be Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 1 pm in the chapel of Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home in Monticello. Burial will follow in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
