Loretta Mae Catron was born April 21, 1934, and departed this life Friday, December 29, 2023, reaching the age of 89 years. She was the daughter of (the late) Sherman and Lois (Walters) Bertram.
On September 16, 1950, she united in marriage to Earl Catron and to this union, three sons were born.
She is survived by her sons, David (Carolyn) Catron, Joel (Charmaine) Catron, and Tim (Debbie) Catron; 7 grandchildren, Brandon Cooper, Lori Edwards, Dustin Catron, Tyler Catron, Amy Morgan, Jeremy Catron, and Joshua Catron; 14 great-grandchildren, Austin Cooper, Ethan Cooper, Brittani Dick, Kaiti Singleton, Ty Humble, Bryce Catron, Cohen Catron, Isaac Brown, Jacob Morgan, Rylan Morgan, Grant Catron, Noah Catron, McKenzie Catron, and MaKayla Catron; 5 great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Paul Bertram; 2 sisters, Vera Burke, and Janice Carrender; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-two years, Earl Catron; 1 grandson, Brian Catron; and 1 brother, Wayne Bertram.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, between 3 pm – 6 pm in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 6 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. A private interment will be held at a later date.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
