Lonnie "Buddy" Meredith was born February 24, 1942 and departed this life Sunday, December 11, 2011 reaching the age of 69. He was the son of the late James and Thelma (Allen) Meredith.

He is survived by: 4 sons, DeWayne Hill, Jeff, Ricky, and Lonnie Meredith; 3 daughters, Connie Decker, Teresa Foster, Amanda Ferman; 26 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren. He is also survived by: 1 brother, Marvin Meredith; and 1 sister, Betty Abbott; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, James and Thelma Meredith, he was preceded in death by: 1 daughter, Vickie Meredith; 1 brother, Ellis Meredith; and 1 sister, Bonnie Shelton.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 1 pm at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Smedley and Bro. Koger Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in Alexander Cemetery.
