Lonnie Richard Dishman was born February 13, 1971 in Burkesville, Ky. He departed this life Friday, August 6, 2021, reaching the age of 50 years. He is the son of Luther and Barbara Pyles Dishman.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife of 26 years, Robin Foster Dishman, 1 son, Caleb Richard Dishman (fiance' Danielle Beasley): 1 daughter, Hannah Grace Dishman (fiance" Ridge Hancock): 1 sister, Donna (Steven) Eby: 3 grandchildren, Mason Lee Tomlinson, Everleigh Rose Hancock and Jameson Richard Dishman and his Nephews Jared and Douglas Eby.

Lonnie loved his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He cherished his church family and served as a Deacon at Jesus Name Tabernacle in Monticello, Kentucky.

Lonnie had an extensive career in the medical field. He began his career as a respiratory therapist and had worked in several capacities in that field as well as doing some student teaching.

He most recently worked as a polysomnographic technician. He practiced at Russell County Hospital in Russell County Kentucky as long as his health permitted.

Those who knew Lonnie best knew how he loved to have a good laugh. He enjoyed any outdoor activity, especially fishing. He enjoyed all things sports but his favorite team was anyone the Kentucky Wildcats could whip.

Lonnie was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, relative, and friend who will be sadly missed and remembered fondly by all those who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 9, 2021, after 5 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Dishman Cemetery.
