Lola Ward was born September 28, 1945 and departed this life Thursday, February 17, 2022 reaching the age of 76 years. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Myrtle (Slavens) Meredith.

She is survived by: her husband, Randall "Randy" Ward; two sons, Johnny (Tina) Young and John Williams; three grandchildren, Tabatha Williams, Jonathan Young and Ashley Young; and five great grandchildren, Haylee Huff, Destiny Madden, Ashley Smith, Robbie Poynter and Danika Rhule; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her daughter-in-law, Regina Williams; three brothers, Alvin, Emerson, and Joe Meredith; and two sisters, Dolly Sparks and Lizzy Cobb.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 20, 2022 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Monday, February 21, 2022 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
