Lionall A. Pettit was born December 22, 1926, and departed this life Monday, June 17, 2024, reaching the age of 97 years. He was the son of the late Glendon Lionel and Clovis (Fossett) Pettit.

He is survived by: three children, Robert Pettit, Diana Zorovich, and Michael Pettit; two granddaughters, Marlee and Maggie Pettit; and one brother, Bradley Pettit; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Alice Pettit; and one sister, Vonda Stanley.

Lionall was a proud WWII Veteran, having served in the Navy in the South Pacific as Seaman 1st Class.

After his military service, he worked as a Special Delivery Messenger for the U.S. Post Office until his retirement.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 21, 2024, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Friday, June 21, 2024, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Final resting place will be in Harrisville, WV.  Military honors will be provided by our local DAV Chapter 105.
