Lillie Emogene (Ashing) Hale was born November 19, 1928, and departed this life Thursday, June 11, 2026, reaching the age of 97 years. She was the daughter of the late Jack and Viola (Johnson) Ashing.

She married William Luther Hale, Sr. and to this union five children were born.

She is survived by: four children, Larry Hale, William Hale, Jr., Nancy Hale, and Kathy Hale; grandchildren, William I. Hale, Dennis (Texas) Hale, Wendy Adams, Peggy Gehring, Lori Hale, Jennifer Fisher, Andrew (Andy) Sanders, Matthew Sanders, Lillie Crabtree, Timothy Hale, Crystal Hale and Dusin Hale; and a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Jack and Viola Ashing, she was preceded in death by: her husband, William Hale, Sr.; and one son, Dennis Hale.

Lillie was a member of Rogers Grove Baptist Church. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, expression of sympathy may take the form of donations to:  Rogers Grove Building Fund.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, between 5 pm – 8 pm Rogers Grove Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 1 pm at the Rogers Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
