Lillie "Bertie" Ball was born April 19 ^th 1945 and departed this life on Friday evening, October 28, 2022 having reached the age of 77 years. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary "Smith" Thurman.

She was married to Freddie Ball for 43 years and to this union 1 daughter was born.

She is survived by: her daughter Kim Ragan; 3 granddaughters, Kiley, Chrissy, and Kelcie; 5 great grandchildren, Caden, Piper, LeeAnn, Kayleigh, and Bayleigh; and siblings, Robert (Whitey) Thurman, Raymond Sosh, Mike Sosh, and Sheila Ashba; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband, Fred, and her parents, Robert & Mary Thurman, she was also preceded in death by, Deanie (Sis) Ball, and Jim Thurman.

Bertie was a faithful member of Highway Holiness Church.  She was an avid reader and loved working in her crossword/word search books.  She loved spending time with her family, and her grandkids and great grandkids were her world.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, relative, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 11am-1pm in the funeral home chapel.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 2pm with Bro. Darrell Ragan officiating.  Burial will follow in the Ingram Cemetery.
