Lillian M. Jones was born November 12, 1934 and departed this life Tuesday, January 9, 2018 reaching the age of 83 years. She was the daughter of the late Goldman and Ethel (Carrender) Chriswell.
She married Bygie Wilburn Jones and to this union 2 children were born.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by: one sister, Betty Jean (Harold) Morris; one daughter, Debra June Jones Dobbs; 2 son-in-law's, Gary Dobbs and Jerry Keeton; 2 granddaughters, Tabethia Dobbs (Chris) Habbelt and Emily Keeton (Jimmy) Hopper; 5 great granddaughters, Hailey Gregory, Hannah Gregory, Alyssa Gregory, Madison Dabbelt, and Eva Jade Hopper; 1 great grandson, Brian Dabbelt; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: one daughter, Eva Nadine Jones Keeton; 2 sisters, Margie Chriswell and Oma Lee Dobbs; 1 brother, Charlie Arnold Chriswell.
She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. Lillian worked many years at the shirt factory until she decided to stay home and take care of her babies. She loved to cook and sew but most of all she loved her family.
She never had many material things but it never seemed to bother her. She cared only about giving what little she had to others.
She left a special loving memory on anyone who ever met her.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 11, 2018 after 12pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 2pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Old Sandusky Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: Lillian Jones Memorial Fund.
