Lida West Stephens was born November 28, 1930 and departed this life Friday, August 22, 2008 reaching the age of 77 years. She was the daughter of the late William Edgar West and Edna Mae Wright West.

She is survived by: her husband- Elza Stephens of Jamestown, TN, 1 daughter- Bernice Davis of Jamestown, TN, 1 step son- Steve Stephen of Jamestown, TN, 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 5 step great-great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She was also survived by: 1 brother- James West of Jamestown, TN, and 2 sisters- Ida Gibson of Muncie, IN and Minnie Walters- Jamestown, TN; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: 1 brother- Lewis Ray West, and 7 sisters- Ola Abner, Lola Stewart, Luary Luttrell, Lillie Poore, Willie Gibson, Iza Pearl Carroll, and Donna Faye Morgan.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.


Visitation: Sunday, August 24th between 5 -9 pm and Monday, August 25th between 8 - 10 am
Funeral Service: Monday, August 25th at 2 Jesus Name Apostolic Church
Interment: Parmley's Grove Church
