Lexie Marie Zimmerman was born July 10, 1943, and departed this life Friday, May 12, 2023, reaching the age of 79 years. She was the daughter of the late Samuel William and Zena Mae (Harris) Decker.

She married Charlie Zimmerman on September 13, 1958, and to this union, 2 children were born.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Charlie Zimmerman; son, Richard (Debby) Zimmerman; 2 grandsons, Derrick (Kellie) Pyles and Ben Zimmerman; 6 great-grandchildren, Robert Kinnett, Sidney Suave, Jadance Zimmerman, and Mahala, Charlie, & Amelia Pyles; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Lee Zimmerman; and 1 granddaughter, Mandy Kinnett.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, between 5 pm - 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Parmley's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
