Obituary
Lewis McDonald "Don" Brumley was born January 10, 1940 and departed this life Monday, August 1, 2011 reaching the age of 71. He was the son of the late Oath and Nancy (Rhodes) Brumley.
He is survived by: 2 sons, David and Dennis Brumley; 3 daughters, Kathy Brown, Connie Norris, and Lisa Davis; 12 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Oath and Nancy Brumley, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Hester Brumley; 1 son, Donald Wayne Brumley; 3 brothers, Oath, Jr., Lee, and Henry Brumley; 3 sisters, Mae Vollet, Winnie Stephens, and Opal Taylor.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 4, 2011 from 4 – 6 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 6 pm at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. David Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Stringer Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: Lewis McDonald Brumley Memorial Fund
