Obituary
Leta Bowlin was born June 20, 1923 and departed this life Saturday, December 1, 2012 reaching the age of 89. She was the daughter of the late James and Leona (Miller) Sidwell.
She was united in marriage to Mitchell Earnest Bowlin and to this union 3 children were born.
She is survived by: 2 sons, Art (Jane) Bowlin and David Bowlin; 5 grandchildren, Tommy Waters, Lora Wilson, Rylan Bowlin, Jason Bowlin, and Autumm Brewster; and 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by: 1 sister, Lena Zimmerman; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, James and Leona Sidwell, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Mitchell Earnest Bowlin; and 1 daughter, Mary Bell.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home with Bro. Bruce Dixon officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.
