Lennie Cooper was born December 1, 1913 and departed this life Thursday, July 31, 2014 reaching the age of 100 years. She was the daughter of the late Sam Mercer and Elizabeth (Weaver) Mercer.

She is survived by: her daughter, Marian Cooper; two grandchildren, Mark and Andrea; and two great grandchildren, Matthew and Alexandra; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Glen Cooper, along with her parents, Sam and Elizabeth Mercer; four brothers, Carl, Clyde, Oliver, and John Mercer; and three sisters, Nannie Correll, Ann Fox, and Lela Daffron.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 6 – 8 pm in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 15, 2014 at 1pm at the Monticello United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
