Lena Elizabeth Shepperd Thompson Atkinson was born August 4, 1909 and departed this life May 18, 2008 reaching the age of 98 years. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Judy (Correll) Shepperd.

She is survived by: two sons- Frank Thompson of Somerset, KY and Bobby Shepard of Monticello, KY, seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister- Lucy Prickett of Monticello, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: her first husband- William Grover Thompson, her second husband- Charles Atkinson, one son- Dallas Thompson, three brothers- Roy, Freeman, and Willie Sheppard, and three sisters- Hattie Black, Stella Morrow, and Nancy Lloyd.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation: Tuesday, May 20th after 6 pm
Funeral Service: Wednesday, May 21st at 1 pm
Interment: Elk Spring Cemetery
