Obituary
LAYCE TERRY PHELPS was born June 19, 1950 and departed this life February 9, 2005 reaching the age of 54 years. He was the son of Choice Clayborne Phelps and Birdie Lorene McDowell Phelps.
He was united in marriage to Anita Jo Duncan and to this union five were born.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Phelps; one daughter, Teri Natasha Cobos-Reyes; three sons, Choice Claborne Phelps, Nathaniel Braxton Phelps, and O'Shannessey Phelps; and two grandchildren, Maria Veronica Cobos-Reyes and Jaywrey Latham Phelps.
He is also survived by six brothers, Gene, Larry, Bruce, Boyd, Don, and Van Phelps; and one sister, Clara Pace.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Choice and Birdie Phelps; one son, Gerald Lee Phelps; and one sister, Florence.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation: Friday, February 11 after 10 am
Funeral Service: Friday, February 11 at 1 pm
Interment: Gap Creek Cemetery
