Laurina Piercy was born January 22, 1960 and departed this life Sunday, May 24, 2015 reaching the age of 55 years. She was the daughter of the late Ellis "Curly" and Pauline (Daniels) Godsey. She was married to Hobert Piercy who along with their son, James Piercy, also passed away as a result of a house fire.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Bell and Scotty Piercy. She is also survived by: two brothers, Jerry and Buck Godsey; and three sisters, Marilyn Paige, Jeannie Thompson, and Lena Dishman; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, her husband and son, she was preceded in death by: one sister, Masel Baker.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 2 pm at the Davis Chapel Cemetery. Burial will be in the Davis Chapel Cemetery.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to: Piercy Family Memorial Fund
