Laura Cristell Bertram Work was born October 22, 1929 and departed this life Friday, May 29, 2020 reaching the age of 90 years. She was the daughter of the late Sterlie and Eula (Hurt) Bertram.

She is survived by her son, Terry Work; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Sterlie and Eula Bertram, she was preceded in death by: five brothers, Dennis, Lyle, Carl, Paul, and Ansel Bertram; and six sisters, Mabel Powell, Doris Gregory, Mollie Jewell Corder, Theresa Bertram, Gladys Twyford and Vena Morgan.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 5, 2020 between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Friday, June 5, 2020 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
