Laura Evelyn Stinson was born October 28, 1936, and departed this life Sunday, April 6, 2025, reaching the age of 88 years. She was the daughter of Charlie and Bertha (Goodman) Pyles.

She is survived by: two daughters, JoAnn Bell (Mike) and Connie Morrow (Duane); son-in-law, Ricky Massengale; four grandchildren, Jessica Thrasher, Amy King, Brandon Massengale, Aaron Morrow; seven great grandchildren, Raegan Hadley, Jacob Thrasher, Charlee Thrasher, Tyler King, Jasmine Boykin, Zoey Petersimes, and Isabella Petersimes; and one sister, Ruth Castle; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Charlie and Bertha Pyles, she was preceded in death by: her husband, James Elmer Stinson; one son, James "Dooley" Stinson; one daughter, Jackie Massengale; one granddaughter, Savannah Massengale; four brothers, Homer, Conley, Hobart, and Donald Pyles; and two sisters, Betty Conn and Kathy Piercy.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 11, 2025, between 9:30 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Friday, April 11, 2025, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Dishman Cemetery.
