Larry Gene Stringer was born January 28, 1949 and departed this life Saturday, January 21, 2017 reaching the age of 67 years. He was the son of the late Herbert and Myrtle (Brown) Stringer.

He is survived by: his wife, Becky Stringer; four brothers, Paul (Debbie) Stringer, Randall (Renita) Stringer, Gerald Stringer, and David (Debbie) Stringer; two sisters, Shirley McGuire and Sue Stringer; and several nieces and nephews; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Herbert and Myrtle Stringer, he was preceded in death by one sister, Judy Lynn Young.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 after 5 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Parnell Baptist Church Cemetery.
