Larry Russell Pryor, Sr. was born May 31, 1944, and departed this life Thursday, February 27, 2025, reaching the age of 80 years. He was the son of the late Homer Reason and Ermon Vita (Honeycutt) Pryor.

He married Linda Faye Blevins and to this union two children were born.

He is survived by: one daughter, Lisa Bolton; two grandchildren, Alyssa and Austin Bolton; and one sister, Anita Lowhorn; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Homer and Ermon Pryor, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Linda Pryor; one son, Larry Russell Pryor, Jr.; three brothers, Jeff, Cecil, and Carl Pryor; and two sisters, Inez Goodman and Doris Arms.

Larry was a U.S. Army veteran who served his country proudly.  He was a member of the local Masonic Lodge for over 50 years. He was an avid wheeler-and-dealer of all things, especially pocketknives. He liked to socialize and never met a stranger.

Larry loved classic cars and his family would appreciate those who would like to participate in driving theirs in his funeral procession .

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 3, 2025, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Monday, March 3, 2025, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to:  House of Blessing and Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
