Larry Ray Horton, age 64, of Monticello, KY, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012 at his home. He was born December 28, 1947 in Cincinnati, OH; the son of the late Ray and Maggie (Davis) Horton. He was united in marriage to Diane Coutler; whom survives him in death.


He is survived by: his wife, Diane Coulter-Horton of Monticello, KY; 3 daughters, Lisa Fragassi, Julie Horton, and Becky Bradford all of Cincinnati, OH; 1 son, Larry Ray Horton, II, of Cincinnati, OH; 1 step son, David Steffens of Durham, NC; 2 step daughters, Carol Woodrum and Elisabeth Youmans both of Virginia; and 20 grandchildren.

He is also survived by: 1 brother, Richard Horton of Monticello, KY; and 1 sister, Janet Colyer of Williamsburg, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.


In addition to his parents, Ray and Maggie Horton, he was preceded in death by: 1 sister, Judy Mosier.


The family will receive friends on Friday, February 10, 2012 from 5 – 9 pm and Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 1 pm at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery in Monticello, KY.
