Larry Walter Elam was born October 31, 1949 and departed this life Wednesday, January 13, 2021 reaching the age of 71 years. He was the son of Nell (Fairchild) Hughes and the late Howard Walter. Elam

He is survived by: his wife, Marilyn Elam; one son, Chris Elam; one daughter, Janna Elam; and three grandchildren. He is also survived by: his mother, Nell Hughes;  two brothers, Nelson and James Elam; and one sister, Barbara Claborn; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his father, Howard Walter Elam, he was preceded in death by his half-sister, Janet.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 between 12 pm – 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the New Sandusky Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: DAV Chapter 105 or Shriners Hospital
