Kenneth Pyles was born July 31, 1943, and departed this life Saturday, January 20, 2024, reaching the age of 80 years. He was the son of the late Willie "Bill" and Nannie (Hicks) Pyles.

He married Illa Jane Dishman and to this union four children were born.

He is survived by: his wife, Illa Jane Pyles; four children, Janet Lynn McGinnis, Tim Pyles (Maerene), Jeff Pyles, and Mark Pyles; four grandchildren, Kira Pyles, Kelci Bridgeman (Jacob), Stone Pyles, and Dex Pyles; and one great grandchild, Laci Aderene Bridgeman. He is also survived by: four brothers, Dee Pyles (Leta), Clyde Pyles (Darlene), Roger Pyles (Jan) and Gary (Theresa) Pyles; and five sisters, Pearl Dishman, Lisa McGinnis (Paul), Jewell McGinnis (Barry), Judy Stinson (Dennis), and Mary McGinnis (Arnold); along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Bill and Nannie Pyles, he was preceded in death by: one brother, Hershel Clay Pyles; and three sisters, Benda Carter, Ruby Rednour, and Linda May Pyles.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 25, 2024, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Pyles Cemetery.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
