Kenneth Dolen was born February 16, 1922 and departed this life Tuesday, August 9, 2016 reaching the age of 94 years. He was the son of the late Tolbert and Minnie (Cooper) Dolen.

He married Mildred Haynes and to this union five children were born.

He is survived by: his wife, Mildred Dolen; two sons, Lowell (Thressa) Dolen and Dana (Becky) Dolen; three daughters, Anita (Dwight) Briscoe, Barbara (Johnny) Gehring, and Quenna (John) Collins; 9 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Tolbert and Minnie Dolen, he was preceded in death by: three brothers, Lloyd Rankin Dole, Howard Dolen, and Fred Dolen; and three sisters, Flonnie Wethington, Vella Melhourn, and Vera Brown.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 12, 2016 after 5 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
