Kenneth Marshall Brown, Sr., age 84, passed away on June 19, 2026. He was born on October 9, 1941 in Jamestown, Kentucky to Millard Brown and Anna (Long) Brown. Throughout his life, he was known for his love of God and family, his strong work ethic, and his dedication to those he loved. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960 and worked nearly three decades at General Telephone Electric (GTE).
He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Marshall Brown, Jr.; his mother, Anna Brown; his father, Millard Brown; his brothers, Ronald Lucas, Charles Lucas, and Donald Brown; his sisters, Alice Marie Stockton and Mary Hughes; and by other loved ones who welcomed him into Heaven.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Doris Elaine Brown; his son, Jeremy Brown; his sister, Beverly Slagle; his brother, Benny Brown; and many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
Those who knew Kenneth will remember his kindness, strength, sense of humor, his love for the Lord, and the love he had for his family. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and medical staff who cared for him during his final days.
Though he has departed this earthly life, his memory will remain in the hearts of those who love him.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 26, 2026, between 10 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 26, 2026, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Mill Springs National Cemetery.
