Kay T. Malone was born October 13, 1941 and departed this life Tuesday, February 6, 2018 reaching the age of 76 years. He was the son of the late Bradley and Madie (Criswell) Malone.

He is survived by: one son, Rankin Malone; one daughter, Donna Cross; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Bradley and Madie Malone, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Lois Malone; one son, Dewey Malone; and three sisters, Lois Troxell, Jewelene Young, and Marcella Bell.

K. T. was a custodian for the Wayne County School until his retirement in 2014; he served on the Wayne County School board and the ACSC board. He also farmed, logged and worked for Cobb for several years.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 8, 2018 between 5 pm – 7 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 7 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
