Katie Lou New was born March, 31, 1955 and departed this life Friday, August, 15th, 2014 reaching the age of 59 years. She was the daughter of the late Ola Hardwick and Lonnie Lee Carrender New Hardwick.

She is survived by: two sisters, Bonnie Rigney of Monticello and Ina Upchurch & fiancé Richard Herbert of New Castle, Indiana; one brother, Kenneth Bell & wife Barbara of Monticello. One sister-in-law, Mary Ruth New Powell of Monticello; special friend and companion, David Sullivan; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by: one brother, George (Whitie) New Jr; three nephews, Franklin Goad, Eugene Goad, and Kenneth K. Sexton, all of Monticello.

She was a loving sister, aunt, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August, 20th, 2014 after 10 am in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August, 20th, 2014 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Little Sinking Cemetery.
