Obituary
Katheryn Thurston was born August 7, 1916 and departed this life April 30, 2008 reaching the age of 91 years. She was the daughter of the late Leo and Linnie (Bell) Southerland.
On September 16, 1934 she was united in marriage to Carl Thurston and to this union three children were born.
She is survived by: three daughters- Doris Robinson and Joyce Lyons both of Monticello, KY and Janice Chandler of Madison, IN, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband- Carl Moore Thurston, two brothers- Earl and Billy Southerland, and two sisters- Ina Walters and Wilma Southerland.
She was a faithful member of Fall Creek Baptist Church.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation: Friday, May 2nd after 4 pm
Funeral Service: Saturday, May 3rd at 10 am
Interment: Elk Spring Cemetery
