Karen Phillips was born May 17, 1968 and departed this life Tuesday, October 16, 2018 reaching the age of 50 years. She was the daughter of the late John Evans and Agnes (Ellenberg) Davis.

She is survived by: her husband, David Phillips; one son, David Phillips, Jr. (Tiffany); one daughter, Michelle Bruce (Jamie); and one grandchild, Olivia Bruce. She is also survived by: two sisters, Monica Bowling (Daniel) and Melissa Evans; nieces and nephews, Justin, Casey, Denny, Lucas, Allison, Kylie, Daniel, Kristy, Derrick, Will, Katie, James, Shaley, and Jacob; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: two brothers, Robert Lee Evans and James Carmel Evans; and nephew, Zachary Ross.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 18, 2018 after 5 pm at the Cedar Grove Baptist Church.  Funeral services will be held Friday, October 19, 2018 at 11 am at the Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Corder Cemetery.
