Junior Oscar Vaughn was born May 24, 1935 and departed this life Tuesday, June 19, 2012 reaching the age of 77. He was the son of the late Oscar Vaughn and Nina (Jones) Vaughn Ross.

He was united in marriage to Wanda Bolinger and to this union 4 children were born.

He is survived by: 2 sons, Kenneth (Wanda) Vaughn and Joe (Sherry) Vaughn both of Monticello, KY; 2 daughters, Loretta (Daniel) Leady and Karen (Mitchell) Goodman both of Monticello, KY; 9 grandchildren, Jeremy, Matt, Travis, Hannah, Andy, Jess, Shelly, Brian, and Emily; 10 great grandchildren. He is also survived by: 3 brothers, Robert Gregory, L. D. and Bobby Vaughn; and 1 sister, Patsy Ann Jones; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Oscar Vaughn and Nina Ross, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Wanda Vaughn.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 22, 2012 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 11 am at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. David Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in Bud Gregory Cemetery.
