Junior Harris was born June 16, 1944, and departed this life Monday, October 20, 2025, reaching the age of 81 years. He was the son of the late Frazier and Ollie Cecil (Russell) Harris.

He is survived by: two daughters, Renita Fulton (Thomas) and Lisa Lewis; one son, Scott Sexton; one sister, Velma Turner; grandchildren, Tiffany Hicks, Jeremiah Stringer, Chasity Stringer, Brittany Harris, Veronica Lewis, and Shalyn Harris; and great grandchildren, Robert and Kaiden Hicks, Jeremiah Stringer, II, Ariella Stringer, Cruz Castle, Bryson and Madelynn Polston, Kenton and Braelynn Leo, Aspen, River and Nova Polston; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Mary Kathleen Harris; one son, Shawn Harris; two brothers, Jim and Clarence Harris; and four sisters, Mazie Munsey, Edna Hughes, Lou Smith, and Bernice McClellan.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 23, 2025, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
