Julie Asbury was born July 29, 1945 and departed this life Tuesday, November 10, 2015 reaching the age of 70 years. She was the daughter of the late James Hooker "Bob" and Ellie May (McGinnis) Dishman.

She married Junior Lloyd Asbury and to this union one child was born.

She is survived by: her daughter, Annie Barnett; two grandchildren, Mariah Burton and Dustin Phillips. She is also survived by: five brothers, Jody, Joseph, Julen, Charlie, and Lindsey Dishman; and three sisters, Dicie Harmon, Nancy Rains, and Joann Catron; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Bob and Ellie Dishman, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Junior Lloyd Asbury; two brothers, Andy and Simon Dishman; and two sisters, Fairzetta Stinson and Molly Lou Dishman.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 13, 2015 after 5pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 1pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Dishman Cemetery.
