Joyce Cooper, was born June 6, 1944 and departed this life Saturday, June 5, 2010 reaching the age of 65. She was the daughter of the late Claude Edwards and Verda Smith Edwards.

She is survived by: her husband, James Cooper; 1 son, Michael (Heather) Cooper; and 4 grandchildren, Kyle, Matthew, Marissa, and Julianne Cooper. She is also survived by: 2 sisters, Doris Jones and Marilyn Sue Bradley; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Claude and Verda Edwards, she was preceded in death by: 1 sister, Alice Yencer.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 11 am at the Elk Spring Cemetery Shelter. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
