Obituary
Joseph "Beef" Stearns was born November 13, 1938 and departed this life Monday, October 22, 2012 reaching the age of 73. He was the son of the late Absalom and Sara (Vogler) Stearns.
He is survived by: nieces, Kathy Ohkubo, Virginia "Bo" Morrow, Janet Morrow, and Sandra Clark; nephew, Jack Stearns; and sister-in-law, Sarah Stearns; numerous great nephews and neices; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Absalom and Sara Stearns, he was preceded in death by: his sister, Charlotte "Tizzy" Stringer; brother, Jack Stearns; and niece, Gina Ramsey.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 1 – 5 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 5 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Smith officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to:
