Jonathan Lee Saunders was born November 22, 1971, and departed this life Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at the age of 53. He was the son of (the late) Bernard Wayne Saunders and Donna Jean (Lee) Bledsoe.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Cecil) Saunders; two sons, Jonathan (Haley) Saunders, and Isaac Kaden Saunders; two daughters, Megan (Colton) McGuire and Kimberly (Diamond) Saunders; one stepchild, Chiara (Devan) Stockton; one brother, Jim Saunders, and one sister, Kari Saunders; ten grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Carly Denney.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, relative, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 30, 2024, between 11 am – 1 pm in the funeral home chapel.  Funeral services will be held Monday, December 30, 2024, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: Jonathan Saunders Memorial Fund, c/o Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home.
