Obituary

Johnnie Cooper was born April 11, 1940 and departed this life Wednesday, April 2, 2014 reaching the age of 73 years. He was the son of the late William Odell and Bascal Mae (Watson) Cooper.

He married Anna Ruth Brown and to this union six children were born.

He is survived by: his wife, Anna Cooper; four sons, Johnny Wayne, Tim, Tony, and Terry Cooper all of Monticello, KY; two daughters, Beverly Chody of Austin, TX and Debbie Cooper of Monticello, KY; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. He is also survived by: one brother, Robert Cooper of Oklahoma; and one sister, Flonnie Cooper of Monticello, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, William and Bascal Cooper, he was preceded in death by: five sisters, Irene Cooper, Marie Slagle, Ollie Cooper, Bonnie Cooper, and Faye Lorene Cooper.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 5, 2014 after 5 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Old Sandusky Cemetery.
