John Huffaker was born February 11, 1931 and departed this life Sunday, May 15, 2011 reaching the age of 80. He was the son of the late Floyd and Delia (Bates) Huffaker.

He was united in marriage to Willie Rednour and to this union 1 child was born.

He is survived by: his wife, Willie Huffaker of Monticello, KY; 1 son, Randy (Sheila) Huffaker of Monticello, KY; 2 grandchildren, Brandi Huffaker (Tim Thompson) and Rachel (Lonnie) Chaplin both of Monticello, KY; and 6 great grandchildren, Katie Chaplin, Taylor Thompson, Tanner Floyd, Gracie Chaplin, Ty Thompson, and Jackson Chaplin all of Monticello, KY. He is also survived by: 1 brother, Bill Huffaker of Monticello, KY; and 3 sisters, Vivian Smith of London, KY, Pauline Kutche of Richmond, IN, and Doris Perdue of Monticello, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Floyd and Delia Huffaker, he was preceded in death by: 2 brothers, Jack and Don "Red" Huffaker; 2 step brothers, Noel and Melwood Anderson; and 1 sister, Eva Lench.


The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 from 5:30 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 2 pm at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Rodney Smith officiating. Burial will be in Taylor's Grove Cemetery.
