John Garner was born March 5, 1950 and departed this life Wednesday, January 13, 2021 reaching the age of 70 years. He was the son of the late Raymond Garner and Edith Lucille (Snow) Garner.

He married Joyce Anne Allen and to this union three children were born.

He is survived by: his wife, Joyce Ann Garner; one son, John C. Garner; two daughters, Tracy (Shawn) Bell and Karen (Michael) Tucker; three grandsons, Dakota Bell, Trevor and Matthew Garner; and one great grandson, Rylan Garner.

He is also survived by five brothers, Jesse Garner, Butch Garner, Gary Garner, Charlie Garner, and Randy Garner; and four sisters, Mary Doris Decker, Marjorie Barnes, Sandra Hunter, Dorothy Raines; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Raymond and Edith Garner, he was preceded in death by: he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bruce Garner and Keith Garner.

John was a Christian and loved spending time with his family.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 between 10 am – 11 am in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Cabell Grove Cemetery
