Obituary
John Phillip Dunagan was born November 21, 1941 and passed away on September 14, 2017 at the age of 75.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hulon and Beatrice (Hammond) Dunagan; a sister, Ruth Jewel Barnette; and a brother, Robert Hulon Dunagan.
He is survived by one brother, David Dunagan of Parkers Lake, KY. Also a brother, Curtis Dunagan and a sister, Linda Sue Coffey of Monticello, KY; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was a lifelong farmer until he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. He left his farm in the Betsy Community and lived with relatives until the past five years where he resided at the Cumberland Nursing and Rehab at Somerset, KY. He loved his tractors!
He accepted Christ later in life and attended Zion Baptist Church. He was a faithful member until his health prevented him from going. He enjoyed talking with everyone that visited him. He might not agree with you, but he enjoyed the visits!
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 18, 2017 after 10 am in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 18, 2017 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
