Obituary
John Milton Davidson, age 85 of Monticello, KY, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the Wayne County Hospital.
He was born September 22, 1927 in Monticello, KY; the son of the late Proctor and Elsie (Gehring) Davidson.
He was united in marriage to Abbie Stephens and to this union 3 children were born.
He is survived by: his wife, Abbie Davidson of Monticello, KY; 3 daughters, Alisa Nevels of Nicholasville, KY, Beth Daffron of Cincinnati, OH, and Denise Rector of Phoenix, AZ; 6 grandchildren, Kristi Johnson, Lacy Marshall, Amanda Meyerrenke, Joshua Daffron, Jordan Nevels, and Ryan Rector; and 7 great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Proctor and Elsie Davidson, he was preceded in death by: 1 brother, James William Davidson.
He was a WWII Navy Veteran. He worked for Richard Lee Funeral Home, Drake Chevrolet and later Belden Wire where he retired.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 11 am – 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Lange officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.
The Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
