Joe Raymond West was born August 10, 1951 and departed this life Saturday, April 30, 2011 reaching the age of 59. He was the son of Cosby Raymond and Barbara (Hughes) West.

He was united in marriage to Nancy Hale.

He is survived by: his wife, Nancy West; 3 sons, Christopher Edward, Raymond Earl, and Jeremy Chad West; 2 daughters, Amanda West Bell and Joelana West Poore; 3 step children, Andrew and Matthew Sanders, and Lilly Vaughn; 22 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. He is also survived by: his parents, Cosby and Barbara West; 1 brother, Charles Edward Huddleston; and 1 sister, Angela Michelle West Preat; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by: Arthur and Eula Huddleston whom he called Mom and Dad; 1 brother, Rodney Allen West; and 1 sister, Wanda West.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 6, 2011 from 5 - 9pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Elk Spring Cemetery Shelter with Bro. Danny Bell and Bro. Robert Kincaid officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.
