Joe West Phillips was born November 12, 1950 and departed this life Saturday, October 28, 2017 reaching the age of 66 years. He was the son of the late Jack and Martha "Pat" (West) Phillips.

He married Charlotte Burke and to this union two children were born.

He is survived by: his wife, Charlotte Phillips; one daughter, Shannon Joe Phillips (David Shawn) Brumfield; one daughter-in-law, Amanda Phillips; five grandchildren, Clark, Callie, and Isabelle Phillips, Grace and Noah John Brumfield. He is also survived by: three brothers Henry, John, and Ben Phillips; and one sister, Becky Devlin; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Jack and Pat Phillips, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Phillips.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 between 10 am – 12 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 12 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
